The truth is that each of us at some point in our lives have sinned and turned our backs on the God that has given us life (Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God).  This is talking about you, me, and everyone.  What is sin?  God says "All unrighteousness is sin".  And face it we know that we are truly not righteous.  And we have to admit this to be saved.  If you admit then simply say " I have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God".  Now, with that admittance you should know what the result is for this sin.  ( Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.).  So we can be assured that "it is appointed a time for all men to die".  This is the result of our sin.  However, if you will look.  God says that He has something for each of us, "the gift of God is eternal life in Chris Jesus our Lord".  So there is hope!  Do you want eternal life or eternal death?  If you want life then speak to God, "The wages of my sin is death.  But I see now that you God, offer to give me eternal life in Jesus Christ."  You should know that there is an event in time that this gift that God has provided for you took place.  (Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.)  So, as we didn't deserve it, God still demonstrated to us that He loves us by sending His son Jesus Christ to die in your place.  Jesus took what you deserved so you could get what Christ deserves.  Do you believe God made payment for you sins in Christ's death on the cross?  If so, say: "I believe Christ died for my sins."  The goodness of God leads all me to repentance.  Repentance is a change of mind, heart, and direction, in our lives.  This is shown in a godly sorrow which leads you to turn "to God from idols to serve the living and true God."  Do not presume on God's mercy.  Obey God's command now.  "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out."   Are you sorry for your sins and willing to obey God's command to repent so that your sins may be blotted out?  If so, say: I am sorry for my sins.  I see that the goodness of God leads me to repent."  God makes it simple.  You trust with your heart and tell with your mouth, and this results in righteousness.  (Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.)  You express your repentance and faith by calling in prayer.  In this way you invite Jesus into your heart.  He promises, "If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him."  So, now believe Jesus died for your sin and "God raised Him from the dead" and "confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus."  He promises that "whoever confesses me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.  Will you call on the Lord inviting Him to come into your heart and save you now?  If so, say:  "I will call on the Lord inviting Him to come into my heart and save me now."
Pray this most important prayer:  "Lord, I have sinned.  I'm sorry for my sins.  I now give my life to you.  I accept you as my Lord and Savior.  I ask you to save me and live in my life.  God be merciful to me a sinner.  In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
